FIVE HAIKU

trombone poetry

KEEP IN TOUCH

Half a phone number
Left on a scrap of paper:
Another door shuts.

SALOON BAR PHILOSOPHY

Small compensation
To see staggering the fly
Fished from my brandy.

FAREWELL CONCERT

Rain beats the garden.
The blackbirds sing for supper.
Worms must love music.

FIGUERAS

In Dali's birthplace,
This June afternoon, the sky,
Smeared by giant slugs.

SHELF LIFE

Ulysses loiters;
Freud dreams while Kropotkin plots;
Rabelais revels.
