POETRY SLALOM

trombone poetry

This project was originally conceived as an occasional feature of performances by The Blowpipes, and is represented by two poetry tracks on the CD, Zenoria. Some poems are read between musical pieces, others are set to music, so that interesting relationships may be generated between the two arts.

Because this is performance poetry without the ranting or the kind of monotony of rhyme and rhythm familiar at more fashionable poetry gigs, the project was called a poetry slalom. A further project, to be called a poetry slum, was suspended for being almost toxically sarcastic.

This is now mostly expressed through the trombone poetry project (see Luftmensch).
