Throughout, readers (especially students) are encouraged to try and write poems and other texts under the various constraints, and the book is stuffed with fine examples by members of Oulipo.
There is a comparative chronology of historical, cultural and oulipian events and a bibliography, plus informative sections outlining the context of the playful work of Oulipo.
