TRITON CITY

In the early 1960s, Fuller was commissioned by a Japanese patron to design a Floating City for Tokyo Bay. Unfortunately, this patron died in 1966, but the US Department of Housing and Urban Development commissioned further design and analysis. The story of this project is outlined in Critical Path, p.333.

Triton City, intended to house 5000 people, is illustrated and explained on p.231 of Dymaxion World.

Kansai artificial island of Osako, Japan, is derived from Triton City ideas. (See Pawley, p.160.)
